Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho has dismissed criticism from Angel Di Maria and Arturo Vidal for imitating Cristiano Ronaldo’s joyous gesture.

The Argentine international celebrated his goal in the team’s 3-0 home win over West Ham by sitting on a pitchside billboard. This is a move that Ronaldo used in 2017 when he was at Real Madrid.
In the past, Garnacho has celebrated goals with Ronaldo’s usual “Su!” gesture, which earlier this week was released by Angel Di Maria, a senior member of the national team. Let’s talk about this already.
“The only thing I won’t do is celebrate like Cristiano did, I’ll score goals and do what Messi does, I’ll stick to that,” Di Maria said.
Vidal previously spoke about Garnacho’s stunning somersault shot against Everton, saying. “The only thing I don’t think is good or I don’t understand is why he had to celebrate like Cristiano. Yono? He had to make a name for himself. He is already a great player.” ยูฟ่าเบท
“It’s good that Ronaldo is his idol, I respect that. But he had to make a name for himself. How will you celebrate a goal and be remembered? I don’t know, different kind of celebration but it was a great goal. It is a beautiful goal.”
It was Garnacho’s compatriot Angel Di Maria, who advised the teenager to copy Lionel Messi and not Ronaldo. Looks like he is in no mood to listen.
The Hammers have been held to 0 goals so far, despite having a couple of chances. Some of those fell to Kudus but they are yet to score a goal.
Garnacho’s epic goal celebration was one that fans loved, especially after he was joined by Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo. Here are some reactions.
